TRACE is a hybrid film where non-fiction merges with fictional elements in a scenery of loss
and memory. The space within appears frozen, the unknown character is returning nowhere,
the voice emerges as a herald of the past, reinforcing the connection to “upper powers”.


Moscow, 2025. Coming back home, I was capturing the landscapes where I grew up: my
neighbourhood, train stations, long alleys between the yards and grandmother’s house.
The separation from my land—a monolith of blood, snow, and sun—led to a delusional
perception of space. Life became bifurcated: one reality here and one there, with myself in
the space between.
